Mother's Day Brunch

Treat the well-deserving mother in your life to something she’ll really enjoy — a delicious brunch. These restaurants are open on Mom’s special day:

• Huevos rancheros, brioche French toast and buttermilk pancakes are just some of the items on the brunch menu at Bleu Restaurant & Wine Bar (29 S. Eighth St.). Patrons will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; entrée prices vary.

• Mom can kick back with a Bistro Mary, mimosa or espresso martini to go along with her brunch at Les Bourgeois Blufftop Bistro (12847 W. Highway BB, Rocheport). Diners are welcome from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; entrée prices vary.

Grand Cru Restaurant (2600 S. Providence Road) serves brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults can enjoy the roasted turkey, roast beef and strawberry crepes for $21 per person; children ages 4-10 may eat for $10.50.

• Order the French toast bread pudding or lobster brioche this Sunday at Mackenzie’s Prime (131 S. 10th St.). Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; entrée prices vary.

Boone Tavern (811 E. Walnut St.) offers a breakfast buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including peel-and-eat shrimp, chocolate-covered strawberries, honey-glazed ham, omelets, waffles and other scrumptious dishes. The buffet costs $19.95 for adults, $17.95 for seniors and $8.95 for children ages 3-12.

Courtyard by Marriott (3301 LeMone Industrial Blvd.) holds its fourth annual Mother’s Day buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Breakfast items include waffles, omelets and biscuits with gravy; brunch options include canapés, roasted chicken with herbs, chilled shrimp and more. Adults eat for $18.95, seniors for $16.95 and children ages 6 and older for $9.95.

• Brunch at Hemingway’s Wine & Bistro (3910 Peachtree Drive) includes eggs, pastries, crepes, carved pineapple ham and more. Columbians are welcome to come dine between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Brunch costs $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for children ages 6-12.

Mother’s Day Buffet is served in the Windsor Ballroom of the Holiday Inn Executive Center (2200 I-70 Drive S.W.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The buffet costs $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $9 for children ages 4-12. Offerings include a breakfast station complete with omelets and waffles as well as other entrées such as Mom’s Old Fashioned Pot Roast and artichoke chicken.

Jack’s Gourmet (1903 Business Loop 70 E.) whips up Mediterranean quiche, beef tenderloin, danishes and other goodies for a Mom’s Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost of the meal is $18.95 per person.

The Upper Crust Bakery and Café (904 Elm St., Suite 108) offers two different seating times for brunch at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Moms can look forward to a fruit display, carved rosemary and cracked pepper crusted sirloin and a dessert bar for $17.95 per adult and $9.94 for children ages 4 and older.

• No matter whether she orders a seafood and egg crepe, Benedict of beef tenderloin or something else entirely, each mother at the Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch at The Wine Cellar & Bistro (505 Cherry St.) receives a complimentary glass of champagne with her meal. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entrée prices vary.
